Why Drink Loose Leaf Tea?

Loose leaf tea has many advantages over bagged tea, among other beverages, and I believe to be a wonder drink of sorts. It has alot of health benefits, it is better for the environment and it is very versatile as an ingredient in both food and beverage. It has a long history and is the second most popular drink in the world next to water. I like to think that it is something that people can connect over whether they are participating in an ancient tea ceremony or having a post workout chat while re-hydrating. From the floral tastes of Chinese tea, to the subtle freshness of a great Japanese tea, to the wonderful western blends, there truly is a tea for everyone.
Relaxing Loose Leaf Tea

There is just something about drinking a warm cup of that soothes the soul. It's a great drink to have while relaxing, or trying to keep the stress away from a long day at work. It energizes you, yet calms you at the same time. It does all this while being zero calories. So if you need the energy for one more rep, or to put off that late afternoon drowsiness, or simply want to relax and read a good book, you can do that without worrying about counting any calories.

Another benefit of loose leaf tea is that it is much better for the environment than bagged tea. Every year millions of tea bags are produced and thrown out after they are used. Every time you have a drink of loose leaf tea you are saving the planet. When you are finished with your tea leaves you can also compost them instead of throwing them out. Bagged teas also tend to be of a lower quality than loose leaf teas.

Varieties such as our Matcha can be not only used to make tea but are also ingredients in an array of recipes from baking cookies to making delicious smoothies. Loose leaf teas that aren't Matcha can also be used in many recipes. Many people add them to salads, stir fries, and anything that they can imagine. Even cocktails can be infused with tea!

It is also recommended by many experts to drink different teas at different times of the day to experience the different benefits of drinking loose leaf tea. However, that is not my personal philosophy when it comes to drinking tea. My belief is simple. I believe that people should drink the tea that they like when they would like to have it.
